Totally Tilda

Just a quick post today.  I couldn’t resist inking up Tilda again.  I inked her on some kraft cardstock and colored her with Copics to get a more vintage feel.   I used my SCAL software and Cricut to create the little frame she’s sitting in.

Copic Creations Challenge- pleats

The challenge this week at the Copic Creations Challenge blog is Pleats!  I guess you could interpret this as pleats, folds, ruffles…. and we’ve all used Magnolia images this week as the prize is winners choice of a Bon Voyage Tilda or Edwin.  Our sponsor this week is Stamping Scrapping.   The have an awesome selection of both Magnolias and of course…copics!

These Tildas are all so adorable, and so fun to color.  One of things I enjoy about Magnolia stamps is that they are easy to cut out, and many of them are posed in sitting positions which make it fun to set them on ribbons or in nesties.  I think the double loop border punch is one of my favorites at the moment – and it reminded me of the ruffles which prompted me to use it.

And now for my  Blogaversary Candy Winner…… It’s Rebekka at A Diamond in the Rough! Congratulations Rebekka.  Please click the red email-me button under my pic in my side bar and send me your email address so I can have the gift certificates sent to you!

Hugs, Jami

Cute Chick

I can’t get enough of these images.  And now I see that KennyK has posted some fun sports images in the store… thank goodness digi-stamps don’t break the bank!  This cutie is “All That” from the Glam Gang (my favorites)

I used a few challenges for my inspiration of this card…

The Kenny K’s Krafty Girlz challenge this week is Bold & Bright.  I think this qualifies ;)

The Sketch is from Sketch Saturday – I flipped it on it’s side.

The colors are from the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week (a color challenge)

And my first time making an easel card (can you believe it – these are so fun and easy!) for the Charisma Cardz challenge.

I just love this sentiment on the inside – I picked it up at a craft fair a few months back, it’s an inkadinkadoo stamp.  Fun, huh?  The sentiment on the outside is from an Easter set from Skipping Stones Designs.

Stamps: All That (Kenny K), sentiment on front (Skipping Stones Designs), sentiment on inside (inkadinkadoo)
Paper: Purely Pomegranite (SU), All DP from a K&Co stack
Ink: Tuxedo Black (memento) for image, Black Onyx (versafine) for sentiments
Accessories: COPICS, felt ric-rak, Doiley Lace border punch (MS), prima flowers, stickles, leaf punch (MS), Label #9 (spellbinders)

Copic Reflections

Well, I am now back from seeing my baby boy graduate from basic training.  Wow, it wasn’t until I saw him standing there in uniform that it hit me that my baby is now a grown man.  I am so proud of him!!!

I also came home to find that I won the Shining Light award at the ODBD Blog!  Thanks!!

It looks like I am going to be around for a while, that my work-trip is postponed, so the Copic Creations Challenge gals have graciously allowed me to jump right back in!  Thanks girls!!  And this week the challenge is coloring reflections.  There are some tutorials listed over on the Copic Creations Challenge Blog, so I hope you’ll join in on the fun!!  There’s an awesome prize…..a copic class from Suzanne!

I used one of my new favorite stamp sets – Puppy Love available at There She Goes.  It is the cutest set, with tons of little images and adorable quotes!

To get my reflection, I stamped the image onto a ziploc baggie, then transferred the image from the baggie to the paper.  It’s not the clearest imprint, but for a reflection it doesn’t need to be (in my opinion).  After I colored it with softer shades of the image colors, I covered it in clear embossing powder.  I was going for a look of reflection on a wet ground after the rain…. what do you think?

And here’s the inside, with one of the sentiments and another of the images from this cute set.
Supplies:
Paper: Chocolate Brown (GinaK), Green at Heart (Basic Grey), Nennah White, glossy white
Stamps: Puppy Love (There she Goes)
Accessories: Border punch (martha stewart), half pearls, button, satin ribbon, tuxedo black memento ink
