Trick or Treat

I just L-O-V-E Halloween. I love the colors and the candy and the costumes and the candy and the parties and the candy….did I mention I love the candy? hee hee. Candy Corn is one of my favorite candies. Pure sugar, I’m sure of it! Well, I was in the mood to make a Halloween card and wanted to use one of my Miss Anyas….so, I just colored her up in fun halloween colors!

I drew in the spider web (it was to cover a boo boo actually) with a black spica glitter pen, and added a bit of stickles to her necklac.

Hugs, Jami

SUPPLIES
Stamps: spider (michaels $1 spot), Miss Anya Love (TGF)
Paper: neenah white, violet linen, DCWV halloween pack from stash
Accessories: Copics, ribbon, nesties, MS Fence punch, bat rhinestone, memento ink, black spica glitter pen, stickles

Whiff of Joy

This is one of my favorite stamps ever – every time I look at anything drawn by Allison Acton, it just puts a big smile on my face.  I started with the sketch at the Whiff of Joy Challenge, though looking at it now, it seems I missed the bow.   I colored Maid Charlotte with my Copics, then added some Ritz Glitter and some pearl drops with a Viva Decor pen.  I made the little flower from some felt and added some Ritz Glitter to it as well for some sparkle.

Whiff of Joy challenge blog is also looking for an addition to their team if anyone is looking to try out!

Hugs, Jami

Copic Reflections

Well, I am now back from seeing my baby boy graduate from basic training.  Wow, it wasn’t until I saw him standing there in uniform that it hit me that my baby is now a grown man.  I am so proud of him!!!

I also came home to find that I won the Shining Light award at the ODBD Blog!  Thanks!!

It looks like I am going to be around for a while, that my work-trip is postponed, so the Copic Creations Challenge gals have graciously allowed me to jump right back in!  Thanks girls!!  And this week the challenge is coloring reflections.  There are some tutorials listed over on the Copic Creations Challenge Blog, so I hope you’ll join in on the fun!!  There’s an awesome prize…..a copic class from Suzanne!

I used one of my new favorite stamp sets – Puppy Love available at There She Goes.  It is the cutest set, with tons of little images and adorable quotes!

To get my reflection, I stamped the image onto a ziploc baggie, then transferred the image from the baggie to the paper.  It’s not the clearest imprint, but for a reflection it doesn’t need to be (in my opinion).  After I colored it with softer shades of the image colors, I covered it in clear embossing powder.  I was going for a look of reflection on a wet ground after the rain…. what do you think?

And here’s the inside, with one of the sentiments and another of the images from this cute set.
Supplies:
Paper: Chocolate Brown (GinaK), Green at Heart (Basic Grey), Nennah White, glossy white
Stamps: Puppy Love (There she Goes)
Accessories: Border punch (martha stewart), half pearls, button, satin ribbon, tuxedo black memento ink

Time To Celebrate!

Well….after some thought as to how to celebrate my blogaversary with you all, I have decided to offer up some gift certificates… quite a few actually!  All the gift certificates are for companies that have supported me along my blog journey….I would not be here with out them, and without you all -my readers!!  So what’s up for grabs?

$75 worth of Gift Certificates!!

There are three gift certificates to 3 of my favorite stores!  And I know all three stores will be loaded soon with all the latest and greatest from CHA, so there’s no better time…. right??  And I just noticed my counter is nearing the 100,000 mark….so if it hits 100,000 by the AUGUST 31st, I’ll add some more goodies to the loot!

My very first design team gig was with Our Daily Bread Designs. It was shortly after I started my blog, and was living in Korea. Kelley Holland, the owner of ODBD, reached out to me and offered me a DT position and I was completely floored!! I met some of the most treasured friends on that team, and I still adore all the beautiful artwork that ODBD offers. The stamps are top notch quality! This was my very first card with the ODBD team, and is to date one of my favorite stamps in my collection. I actually just used this stamp last week to create a retirement card for a friend. So, I am offering the winner a $25 Gift Certificate to ODBD, so you can select whatever you like from the store.

Another beautiful person in my life has been Susana from Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD).  Susana has a heart of gold, and she shares it with everyone she touches.  Susana works with many stamp designers, to include one of my favorites – Elisabeth Bell – to offer her customers a wide variety of images only found at SCACD.  This card was one of my all time favorites from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD line.  SCACD also offers a great selection of all your favorite stamping supplies and sparkly items!    So, I am also offering a $25 gift certificate to SCACD for the winner’s shopping pleasure.  (side note: SCACD gift certifcates must be used in one visit and do not include shipping so you’ll have to pick up the shipping on your items)

This fun card is made with one of my favorite High Hopes stamps offered at 7 Kids College Fund!  7Kids is one of the few places you can get High Hopes, and always has the best price in town!!  Not to mention amazing prices on everything else you could possibly need for your creations.  I had the pleasure of going to CHA last year with Tab, and let me tell you, she is  one fun lady!!  And the woman never stops looking out for great deals to pass along to everyone!!  So… yep, you guessed it, I’m offering a $25 Gift Certificate to 7KidsCollegeFund!!

It doesn’t get much easier than that, does it???   Good Luck and big hugs to you all for stopping by!!!
