The name says it all!

Butterfly trio

So this will be a super short post as I remembered that I didn’t get it typed up earlier, and now it’s past my bedtime!  The challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is an open challenge – as long as you use a butterfly or fairy!  And we have a sponsor this week, so be sure to check it out!!  I pulled out a paper pad by DCWV call Linen Closet and just loved how well the papers go with Kraft!!  I kept it pretty simple this week, but I do like how it turned out.

Don’t forget… I’m raffling off a Kindle Fire HD!!  Check out all the details here!  You can donate any amount to the cause…even a few dollars helps!  And for each dollar donated, you get an entry in the raffle!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week.  I’m a little quiet online this week.  I’m testing for my next belt in karate on Friday, so I’ve been spending my free time practicing instead of crafting.  But I’ll be back at it next week!! :)

Y’all come back!

I was ecstatic when I won this new set (Giddy Up) last week from There She Goes!!  I just love the new release!  And I love how many great stamps you get in one set, with such fun sentiments!!   The challenge at There She Goes right now is to CASE a trendsetter.    I chose Danielle’s fun Owl card to CASE.TSG_comebackOther challenges that sparked my creativity:

Daring Cardmakers – color challenge

Dutch Dare Card Challenges – For the Boys

Addicted to Stamps and More – Open

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I’m testing next week for my brown belt in Karate, so I plan on spending lots of time practicing my techniques and katas.  Our weather is beautiful here this weekend – in the 80′s – so I may go for a run, or at least for a walk as well.

Simple

I needed a distraction today, so I thought I’d give the Clean and Simple (CAS) challenge at SCS a try.  I don’t know if I’ve ever made a CAS card in my life.  More is better, right?  I like to use ribbons and layers and buttons and layers and glitter and layers and flowers and layers…  but I have always loved the look of CAS cards.  I guess I just don’t know when to stop.

CASpostcardThis card uses the PostCard stamps from Sweet-n-Sassy.  I’ve had this set for quite some time and it was craving some ink, so when I saw the challenge was to make a postage related card I knew it had to come out and get some love.  What do you think?  Is it too naked?  I kept wanting to doodle black lines around the edges of the craft.  Or add stitching. It was so hard to stop!!
