Hoppy Bunnies

I found some time to play a little bit and decided to color up one of the High Hopes stamps I bought almost a month ago!  This cutie is called Bunny Love, and I thought it was not only perfect for Easter, but could also be for just about any other occasion!!  Soooo Sweet! I colored them with Copics and cut them out.

It was perfect timing to play along with the High Hopes Challenge this week – to use a HH bunny on your card!
I also used some of the new Green at Heart paper by basic grey.  Love this pad!!  The other day at Michaels I picked up a DCWV Shimmer Stack on sale.  What a great deal for a pad of shimmery metallic card stock in lots of great colors.  The green panel is from that shimmer stack and I cut the shape with the new Labels #10 die

I also wanted to point out the marvelous candy over at Kadie’s blog!! Wow!!  Even without the candy, her blog is awesome! You should check it out!

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!
Hugs, Jami

Lovin’ From the Oven

A quick note before my card…. Last week I had installed the Google Friend Connect on my blog.  Ever since, it started to slow way down.  Then recently a few people told me their virus protection was blocking my site….NOT GOOD!  Then I started getting redirected to advertisements every time I went to my own blog.  Ouch!!  Well…we couldn’t have that now, so after removing Google Friend Connect, then trying desperately to find the little bugger that installed itself in the code of my blog without luck, I finally just went back to an older setup of my blog.  (in all honestly, I think I liked this one better anyways)   The point is – my blog should be safe to surf now!    You can still be my friend by visiting and saying hi every now and again, I don’t need Google Friend Connect to tell me how many friends I have.    So…welcome back!  PLEASE let me know if you run into problems with my blog – just shoot me an email from the link in my sidebar! :)   Thanks!   Now…on to the card….

The High Hopes challenge this week is to create a Valentines card!  I just had to break out my new High Hopes stamp – Chef Pierre!!  I won him a couple challenges back at High Hopes!!  Isn’t he the cutest?!

I added some glaze to all the hearts – it’s so easy to do with the Sakura glaze pen.  I love this pen!  And I love the little Zva rhinestones I added to his buttons!    OK…how do you pronounce Zva?  I always pronounced it as one word…just like it’s written.  But a bunch of people at CHA say it’s pronounces “zee-vah”.  It does sound better that way, but I never would’ve guessed.  Oh well…they make awesome pearls and rhinestones and flowers regardless!!  And so affordable!

Did you know that 7KidsCollegeFund carries a fabulous selection of High Hopes stamps!  Chef Pierre is not currently available, but did you know that 7Kids will order any High Hopes stamp you want?  All you have to do is send her a message and let her know which ones to order for you!!

Hugs, Jami

From Our Nest

I am soooooo thrilled I won the last High Hopes challenge with my Big Butt Card!  And I’m also very excited that High Hopes is going to be offering Dustin Pike images in rubber!  (Dustin did the image on the card below this post) Wahoo!  I just had to play along again in this weeks challenge to use “spacey colors” (blue, green and purple).  Well….not much purple on this card, but I did try to do a spacey theme with the night sky and moon and stars! ;-)

Oh ya….all the new Dustin images for High Hopes will be available in the store at 7KidsCollegeFund TODAY!!  They are totally cute!! I especially am diggin’ the little space dudes!

I used my Cricut Serenade cartridge to cut the branch, then I cut the tails off these cute owls and tucked them behind the branch to make it look like they’re really perched on there.  I used my Sakura clear glaze pen on the beaks and the heart.  I just love this pen – it’s the same effect as diamond glaze, but with the precision and ease of a pen to get into the little spots!  I tell  ya, I’m on a kick with the Valentines cards…I think it may be my favorite holiday to create for!

Hugs,
Jami

Silly Goose!

I ADORE this Silly Goose from High Hopes!!  I didn’t know what sentiment I was going to use for this, but I knew I wanted to paper tole to give it some dimension.  As I added the third “layer of butt” the sentiment came to me, and I thought it was just perfect to give a friend a smile!  7KidsCollegeFund has a great selection of High Hopes stamps in stock.  I adore these images, and I just love that you can get a great rubber stamp for around $5!

I used the sketch from CPS, but turned it on it’s side.  You can always find a great sketch at CPS!  I also decided to do the High Hopes challenge this week – to put a bow on your card!

As you can see, I’m still loving this Origins paper from Basic Grey!  The colors in this pad are just so warm, and I love the patterns.  I added some machine stitching around the edge, and then little brown and white pearls to the middles of most of the flowers in the paper. {click the above image to see them better}  The image was colored with Copic markers, and the top panels were distressed with Scattered Straw distress ink.  I thought I’d go ahead and do the inside of the card too since I used a dark colored base.    What do you think?

p.s.  Did you see all the cool new things at 7Kids this week?? The new CC Designs are in!  I ordered all the new Swiss Pixies for Valentines day…and both the pearl zva wheel and the crystal zva wheel!  I even ordered a couple extras to give away!!
