My last FFF

I can’t believe it’s the end of May already.  So much is happening in my life right now, and I know I’ve been pretty quiet in blogland.  I’m still around, and checking out blogs in my reader when I get a free moment.   My “baby boy” leaves next week for the Army, and it’s finally hitting me.  The longest I have been away from him is maybe a week – so I’m taking this one pretty hard.  I am so proud of him though, he is such a wonderful, caring, and intelligent young man with a big heart and a lot of charisma.

So… with that said, here is my final card with the Critter Crew.  I myself will be doing some traveling for work very soon, and so I will be taking off a couple months from blogging and card-making.  I hope to be back by October (my favorite card making month – I love Halloween!)

I want to say thanks to Jess and Marie at TGF for having me on the Critter Crew – it’s been such a joy working with the rest of the Crew and with  Marina’s images and I have loved every minute of it!!

The challenge this week is an inspiration challenge  and a fun one at that.  I didn’t have the picture in front of me when I made the card, otherwise I think I would’ve used more pink and less blue.  Oh well… I’m still liking how it turned out.   For a change, I colored with my Prisma Pencils and OMS instead of Copics {gasp} and used non-white cardstock to color on.  I added a little bumble bee sticker.  This reminds me of when my youngest son was like 2 years old and in day care.  The ladies would call him the “beekeeper” because he would be outside and he would just stand there and let those big fat bumble bees land on him then sit and watch them.  freaked me out!!!  But he never got stung.

Hope everyone has an amazing Memorial Day weekend!!  God Bless our troops, past and present.  It because of your sacrifices that I am free.

Hugs,
Jami

Farm Fresh Friday wishes

I’ll keep it short and sweet today as I am typing this Thursday night and I’m beat. What a week it’s been already!

This week at the Farm, Mary has given us an awesome sketch to work with! I decided to use Laurie with Present for this one, she is still my favorite critter of all.

I also couldn’t resist using some of my new Max and Whiskers paper from Basic Grey – I just LOVE these colors, and the adorable prints.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!
Hugs, Jami

Dance like it’s Farm Fresh Friday!

I don’t know about you all, but I could not be happier the weekend is here!  What a week it’s been!   This week’s challenge at the Farm is a color challenge.  You’ll have to get the actual color names from the TGF blog, but as with most color challenges, you can use papers/colors as close as you can.  Basically we’re talking reds and pinks this week.

We’re also welcoming three new members to the Critter Crew…so be sure to stop by and show them a big welcome!!

JEN SHULTS -Deconstructing Jen

I’m showing you a brand new Critter Release on mine.  I just adore these little dancing mice!!  I printed them on Neenah cardstock (my first choice for printing digis because my Copics don’t smear the ink!) and colored with my Copic markers.  I added some little Zva pearls on her necklace and ran the pink panel through the music (Allegro) cuttlebug folder.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!  Stop back tomorrow for another peek at TGF new releases, and a great new Copic Creations Challenge!  This will be my last challenge on the Copic Team for a few months, as I will be taking a short leave of absence to travel to Afghanistan for work.  Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take my craft stash with me, nor will be able to update my blog… so I hope you all don’t forget about me!

Hugs, Jami
