Mid Month Challenges

WOW…it’s the 15th already!  This month is just flying by!!  It has been an extremely busy week for me, and I’ve got a few things to share with you today, and today is the new Dirty Dozen Gallery with 2 new Dirty Girls…  Then, Thursday and Friday is the HUGE JustRite Blog hop with lots of blog candy and over 50 sites to visit (that’s why it’s two days!)

So, first up today is my sample for the Copic Creations Challenge.  The challenge this time was to incorporate pencils (Prisma or other kind) into our Copic coloring.  Our sponsor this week is Janlynn/Stamps Happen, and she supplied the team with these beautiful Fairy stamps to color.  The one I colored is actually on sale now!!  We all got a different one, so you’ll want to head over to the Copic Creation blog and check them all out!!

I used Copics on everything except the sky which was done with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  I also added just a touch of green pencil on the leaves for some additional shading.  Of course the fairy wings got a coat of Angel Wings Shimmerz!

My second card today is for the Try It Out Tuesday (TIOT) challenge at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design.  This week, Suzanne challenged us to try out a folded card using our Scor-Pals.  It’s a fun technique, and you should hop over to the SCACD blog to check out the tutorial!  I colored up Milla with Copics to match this yummy Basic Grey paper.
